IHRR is engaged in research, technical advisory, and implementation support in areas such as disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation, anticipatory action, early warning systems, environmental management, and resilience building.   VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Reintegration and Economic Mobility through Inclusive Public Employment Services (ReMi) Project, Phase II (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II) is a bilateral initiative between Governments of Nepal and Switzerland. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS), respective provincial line ministries and participating local governments. The project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance. This project aims to leverage the potential of returnee migrant workers (RMWs) and the national workforce by introducing integrated employment and reintegration strategies at Employment Service Centers through a strategic partnership between the government and the private sector across federal, provincial, and local levels, closely aligned to the National Employment Promotion Programme and Internal Employment Promotion Decade established by MoLESS, the Digital Nepal Framework 2.0 and the Right to Employment Act (2075) of Nepal. The project will be implemented in a mixed modality approach with coverage across seven provinces, and direct support to 30 LGs in three provinces. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from dynamic and committed Nepali citizens for the following position (subject to the approval of the ReMi Phase II): Position: Team Leader, ReMi Job purpose: Provide strategic direction to the project team to accomplish project objectives and targets as stipulated in the project document and logical framework; Lead coordination with relevant governmental entities to facilitate intergovernmental collaboration and efficient public finance management with federal, provincial and local governments for project implementation; Provide strategic vision on private sector engagement and digitalization for public employment services supporting social and economic reintegration of returnee migrant workers; Provide technical assistance to the Government of Nepal and private sector engagement for sustainability and scalability of ReMi activities; Effective human resource management, efficient project’s finance and administration management and stakeholder management; Maintain excellent working relations and communication with the government and non-government stakeholders and with donor. Required Education, Experience and Social competencies: Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or in relevant discipline. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management with demonstrated achievement of results/outcomes, of which at least 3 years’ experience in leading a multidisciplinary team in a similar position for externally financed projects. Having experience in governance, institution/system building, private sector engagement, employment/migration, and/or digitalization initiatives will be an added value.
